Innovation with a purpose

Date and location

Tuesday, 26 May, starting at 11.30

Epicenter, Mäster Samuelsgatan 36, 111 57 Stockholm

Leading representatives of Europe's technology industries are meeting in innovation capital Stockholm for an unforgettable event combining insightful debate, tech exploration and new connections – all centring on how technological progress can shape a future that’s good for Europe.

Climate change, digital transformation, a shifting geopolitical landscape… are these the greatest challenges facing Europe in a generation – or do they present opportunities for the EU to lead the way to a brighter future for our planet and its citizens? For Europe’s pioneering technology industries, the answer is definitively the latter. Driven by commitment to ‘innovation with a purpose’, they are convinced by the power of technological progress to deliver new solutions that serve citizens and respond to society’s needs – from systems to lower carbon emissions, to healthcare and assisted living tech to improve quality of life, to mobility and energy solutions for tomorrow’s cities.

Where do the biggest opportunities lie for European industry in transforming such societal challenges into drivers of prosperity? How can Europe turn its values into a competitive advantage on the global stage? Where do the risks lie – and what are the opportunities if we get it right?

Organised in collaboration with Teknikföretagen (the Association of Swedish Technology Industries), Orgalim’s event ‘Innovation with a purpose’ on 26 May will zoom in on these vital questions. Bringing senior technology industry representatives, partners and EU policymakers together in the heart of innovation capital Stockholm as part of the Orgalim General Assembly, the event’s action-packed programme will present insightful debate on how policy can enable European industry to deliver on these priorities, share real-world insights from startups, and take participants on a ‘safari’ through the latest tech trends – rounded out with a cocktail reception and gala dinner in the magnificent 'Hall of Mirrors' in Stockholm’s Grand Hotel.
