Directives 2002/96/EC on WEEE and 2002/95/EC on RoHS
Orgalime letter to Commissioner Wallström
Orgalime, representing the European electrical and electronics industry is concerned about the transposition deadline for Directives 2002/96/EC on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and 2002/95/EC on the restriction of use of certain hazardous substances in EEE (RoHS). Not only will member states be unable to meet this deadline, but the Commission and member states are yet to reach a common understanding on significant issues.
